Liddie Laverne Miller

GRANBURY – Liddie Laverne Miller, 87, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in Granbury.

Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Granbury Church of Christ. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Granbury Church of Christ. She donated her body to UTSW for research.

Laverne was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Johnson County to William Coleman and Maude Roane Smith.

Survivors include her children, Gay Johnson and husband, Larry, Kristi Miller, Sonny Miller and wife, Darlene, and Johnny Miller and wife, Rachael; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman A. Miller, Sr.; and daughter, Kay Miller Landers.

The family requests memorials go to Granbury Church of Christ, 1905 W. Pearl, Granbury, TX 76048; American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231; or Hood County Relay For Life, 1840 Acton Highway, Granbury, TX 76049.
