Rose Marie Morrison Coble

— Rose Marie Morrison Coble, 90, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in a local nursing home.

She was born on April 7, 1922, in Fisher County near Roby, Texas. Rose was the fourth of five children and only two lived to be grown. Her family lived in Parker County when Rose was 3 years old and then moved to a ranch near Sweetwater in a covered wagon. Her family moved often returning to Parker County, near Advance, when Rose was 14. Rose attended school at Poolville. She married William (Buster) Coble at age 16 and lived near Whitt for several years. Buster worked for John Deere in Weatherford. They lived on Akard Street when the John Deere business closed. Buster worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth. They purchased a small acreage and house off of Old Dicey Road.

Rose was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Ruby Morrison; brother, Sam Morrison; and husband, William Daniel “Buster” Coble.

They were blessed with two sons, Douglas Coble and wife, Delores, of Massachusetts, and Charles Coble and wife, Roseann, of Weatherford; three daughters, Katherine Hanegan and husband, Ben, of Weatherford, Rose Ann Wooldridge and husband, Norman, of Weatherford, and Sherry Yager and husband, Bernie, of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Memory Gardens with Rev. Gary Ward officiating.
