WEATHERFORD —
Billy D. Mitchell, age 84, died on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 in Weatherford. Billy was born on Feb. 25, 1928 to Stuart J. and Lois Nash Mitchell in Fort Worth. He graduated from Dennis High School. Billy served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Weatherford Oil and Tool for 25 years and retired in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Mitchell, and parents, Stuart and Lois Mitchell. Billy is survived by his friend and companion, Mary Anne Christian of Weatherford; numerous friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Johnson Cemetery.
