PALESTINE —
Doris Helen Wood, of Weatherford, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, in Palestine. She had a brief fight with pneumonia.
Doris was born in Weatherford, on Nov. 21, 1933, to Forrest and Hazel Lindsay. She graduated from Weatherford High School and attended Weatherford College for two years. She was a loving wife and mother and was married to J.C. Wood until his death in 2001. She had several wonderful friends from childhood and remained close friends until her death.
Survivors include her son, James Craig Wood; daughter, Janae Delynn Haghighi; son-in-law, Firouz Haghighi; grandchildren, Blake, Jayce, and Shelby Haghighi; and a host of loving friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment will be in Annetta Cemetery.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
