WEATHERFORD —
Mary Francis Shields, age 78, died on Friday, June 29, 2012 in a Fort Worth Hospital. Born Aug. 12, 1933 in Dover, Tenn., Mary was a resident of Weatherford for many years. She was a homemaker, gardener at Mann Nursery, member of the Calvary Baptist Church and she loved to cook. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. Shields, and son, James McDevitt.
Survivors include her son, David Shields, and wife, Linda, of Weatherford; grandsons, Steven McDevitt and Keith Shields; granddaughters, Ashley Shields, Ashley Jones and Kelsey Jones; and great-grandsons, Joby Shields, Seth Shields, Dylan Tillery and Gaven McDevitt.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
