Rosalie Butler, 77, of Weatherford, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Mrs. Butler was born on June 22, 1935 in Millsap. She was a graduate of TCU, a retired school teacher teaching eighth grade American history for years, and was a member of Tin Top Church of Christ. Rosalie loved to sing and travel, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting blankets for grandchildren and being the gatekeeper at Bucking Bulls Butler Arena.
Her husband, Harold, and son, Tony, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Freeman and husband Kenny Letson, of Weatherford; son, Ricky Butler and wife, Susan, of Weatherford; sisters, Katherine Henderson of Weatherford, Leona Britton of Weatherford, Thelma Mille of Danville, Ky.; brother, George Berry of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Darby, Devon, Danyle and Braeden, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at North Side Baptist Church. Interment will be in Tin Top Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
