Elsie Mae Newkirk

WEATHERFORD —  

Elsie Mae Newkirk, 71, of Haltom City, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. 

Elsie was born July 16, 1940 in San Angelo, Texas to Vera Lorene and Odell Edmond Long. Mrs. Newkirk was a member of Leaning Tree Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patty Rich; and brother, Michael Long.

Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Bolton and husband, Ron of Mineral Wells; sons, Gary Lee Morgan of Haltom City and Sam McCommas of Mineral Wells; sisters, Frances Morgan of Graham and Christine Warner and husband, Tommy of Jewett, Texas; brothers, Gerald Long and wife, Shirley of Graham, David Long and wife, Sharon, Ronnie Long and wife, Barbara of Baytown and Glenn Long and wife, Wanda; nine grandchildren and four teen great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Leaning Tree Church in Mineral Wells.
