LIPAN — Sammy Slatten, 45, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Parker County.
Sammy was born June 7, 1967 in Cleburne to Earnest Phillip and Mary Sevier Slatten. He was a member of Allison Baptist Church and had 20 years of dedication to law enforcement. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Slatten of Granbury; children, Kelsey and husband, Brandon Leonard of Granbury, Austen Slatten of Granbury and Jarret Slatten of Lipan; grandchildren, Bryn Lee Leonard and Kash Leonard; sisters, Shelly Slatten of Granbury and Stacy Griffin of Lipan; nieces and nephews, JoDee Howard, Keshia Westbrook, Korey Slatten and Kody Griffin; and many, many friends.
A service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Granbury. Burial will follow at Georges Creek Cemetery in Somervell County.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
