Daron Ryke Moore

Daron Ryke Moore, 68, died peacefully on Dec. 21, 2012, at Baylor All Saints after complications from an auto accident on June 7, 2012.

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at East Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

Ryke was born July 29, 1944, in Ranger, Texas, to Daron and Margaret Hargrave Moore. He enjoyed building high-performance race engines for cars and boats, and in the 1980s was ranked in the top 10 of high-performance race engine builders in the U.S.

He is survived by daughter, Tammye Shreves and husband, Juston, and Robbin Moore Hood; sister, Vickie Moore Young and her son, Eli Young; grandsons, Ray Shreves and wife, Monica, and Jason Shreves and wife, Elizabeth; four great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; two aunts; other family members and many friends who mourn his departure.

Ryke was preceded in death by his parents, Daron and Margaret Hargrave Moore.
