Billy Neal “Pop” Pierce

Billy Neal “Pop” Pierce, 74, died Dec. 26, 2012, surrounded by his family at home in Weatherford.

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Lunch will be served at the Pierce residence following the service. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Billy was born Dec. 12, 1938, in Big Spring, Texas, to Troy C. and Elizabeth Robinson Pierce.Billy was a resident of Weatherford since 1967. He was widely known as the Christian business owner of Bill’s Tractor and Auto Repair as well as Pierce Welding. Pop was also an avid collector of John Deere. Our Pop lived a full and happy life surrounded by enormous amounts of loving family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Pop is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Bernard and husband, Jack; son, Troy Neal Pierce and wife, Wendy; stepsons, Clifton Wiggs and wife, Carol, Lance Wiggs and wife, Becky, Daniel Russell and wife, Carolyn, John Russell and wife, Debbie, and Eddie Woodward and wife, Kathy; stepdaughters, Pauline Russell and Linda Hanson and husband, Aaron; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren (too many to count).

He was preceded in death on this day by parents, Troy and Elizabeth; first wife, Virginia McDonald Pierce; second wife, Helen Wiggs Pierce; third wife, Alta Davis Pierce; and stepson, Tim Wiggs.
