Shurman W. Glenn

FORT WORTH — Shurman W. Glenn, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.

Shurman was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Parker County to the late Dell Vance and Olden Glenn. He graduated from Weatherford High School and lived in Weatherford most of his life.

He was a small businessman and owned an electronics shop. He remained there until he went to work in Mineral Wells in 1984. He was employed there until 1998, when he retired. He lived in Fort Worth since 1991.

He enjoyed woodcarving and belonged to several woodcarving clubs. He took pride in participating in fundraisers for churches and civic organizations. He was a member of Ridglea Baptist Church and a men’s Sunday school class.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Glenn; daughter, Tandy Glenn of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren; sister, Venita Winston; niece, Linda Kline and husband, David, of Weatherford; one great-niece, Holly Kline, and many cherished friends.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Ridglea Baptist Church, 6037 Calmont Ave., Fort Worth 76116.
