Johnny Lee Sharp

WEATHERFORD — Johnny Lee Sharp, 75, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010. Johnny was born Oct. 28, 1934 in Gorman to Elmer and Ada Sharp.

Mr. Sharp served as a deacon at Shady Grove Baptist Church and operated heavy equipment to maintain roadways.

Johnny was preceded in death by a sister, four brothers and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; sons, Jimmy Sharp and wife Glenda of Peaster and Michael Sharp and wife Barbara of Poolville; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ada Berry of Weatherford, Marcella Pennington of Ranger and Janice Matson of Eastland; brothers, T. M. Sharp of Millsap, Johnny Wayne Sharp of Ranger, Wayne Sharp of Eastland, Jimmy Allen Sharp of Eastland and Jimmy Ray Sharp of Temple.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Dilbeck Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.

Arrangements are by Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel of Weatherford.
