WEATHERFORD — Sean Philip Briggs, 24, passed away on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.
Sean was born Feb. 23, 1988 to Philip H. and Kathy Jo Dew Briggs in Jonesboro, Ark. He was a 2006 graduate of Weatherford High School and attended Weatherford College. Sean was a member of First Baptist Church in Weatherford.
Sean was a beloved son, brother and friend to many. His warm smile and his joyous spirit and genuine compassion for people endeared him to all who knew him. Sean will be deeply missed, but his spirit will reside eternally in heaven with Christ his Lord.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Virginia Dew.
Survivors include his father, Philip Briggs, Jr. of Paris; mother, Kathy Briggs of Weatherford; sister, Tara Briggs of Weatherford; grandparents, Dr. Philip H. Briggs and wife, Jennette, of Fort Worth; niece, Kylee; nephew, Skyler; and numerous family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, 221 W. Church Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Texas Bank Financial, 901 Santa Fe Drive, Weatherford, Texas 76086 in care of Mark Riebe.
