Martha R. Steer died Nov. 29, 2012, at Baylor-Garland hospital.
She is buried in Emerald Hills Cemetary in Kennedale, Texas.
Martha Helen Rietzke was born July 10, 1926, in Washington, D.C., to Eugene and Martha Rietzke. She grew up in Silver Spring and Bethesda, Md. She married Joseph Steer in 1947 and had two children, Christopher and Carol. She later divorced and moved with her children to Texas in 1956, where she remained for the rest of her life. She loved her little house on Cleveland Avenue in Weatherford. She also enjoyed the downtown Friday Market and the library. She was a devoted fan of British sitcoms shown on PBS.
She is survived by her brother, Eugene; her son, Christpher (Evelyn); her granddaughter, Laura; two great-grandchildren; her niece, Jennifer; and her nephew, Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Carol.
