Jimmy Edward Hall

Jimmy Edward Hall, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Graveside service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Born Oct. 6, 1938, Jimmy grew up in Springtown and attended Texas A&M University before joining the U.S. Marine Corps. After returning to Texas he became a dairy farmer. His grandchildren have many fond memories of helping Grandpa Jimmy in the barn. His family will miss his kind words and gentle smile but are blessed with many wonderful memories.

Survivors include a daughter, Eleanor Adela Hall, of Austin; stepdaughters, Pamela Bach and husband, David, of Roanoke, and Tanya Hodges, of Weatherford; stepdaughter in-law Melissa Hodges, of Santo; brothers, Jerry Hall and wife, Tootie, and Tim Hall and wife, Linda, all of Springtown; sister, Melinda Bradshaw and husband, Terry, of Southfork, Colo.; sweetheart, Carolyn Davis, of Weatherford, and her family; grandchildren, Michele Roderick and husband, Robert, Ryan Bach and wife, Kila, Tyler Hunter, Brandy Hodges and husband, Troy, James Dillan Hodges, Trace Hodges, Bliss Hodges, Lauren Green, Trixie Hodges and Chance Hodges; great-grandchildren, John, Kaden, Kira and Alex; and a host of loving friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Laverl Hall; his wife, Patsy; and stepson, Brian Hodges.

In lieu of flowers, the Hall family suggests contributions in Jimmy’s memory to Cook Children’s Medical Center, 801 7th Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104; American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718; or a charity of your choice.
