Martha McGill Meyer

Martha McGill Meyer, 79, died Feb. 15, 2013.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Annetta Cemetery. She has completed her journey into her Heavenly Father’s arms.

Martha was born Feb. 4, 1934, to the late Lymon L. McGill and Grace A. Ethridge McGill in Fort Worth. She married Robert H. Meyer June 8, 1951, and lived in Aledo many years.

She will always be remembered as a kind, generous and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse and friend. She worked as a nurse at Cooks Children’s Hospital and Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

Survivors include sons Robert L. Meyer and wife, Glenda, of Arlington, and Jack E. Meyer and wife, DeAn, of Fort Worth; grandsons, Matthew J, Meyer and wife, Denice, and Jonathan A. Meyer and wife, Jenni, all of Mansfield; great-grandchildren Patrick, Chloe, Caleb and Jordyn; sister-in-law, Allene McGill, of San Angelo; nephew, Michael McGill, of San Angelo; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Meyer, after 61 years of marriage.

We would like to express our special thanks and appreciation to Alpha Omega Hospice for their kindness and care they provided.
