Audrey Bagley

WEATHERFORD —

Audrey Bagley went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 9, 2012, after a lengthy hospital stay. While we will no longer see her on this earth, we find great comfort knowing she is rejoicing in His presence.  She loved the Lord, and was an always faithful servant. An unimaginable number of people will join her in His kingdom because of the witness and testimony she gave throughout her lifetime. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and soul, and expressed this love daily in every way possible.

Audrey was born Oct. 5, 1934, in Corsicana, Texas, to Sam and Callie Lancaster. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford. She was also a teller for South Bank of Fort Worth for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Odom; son, Mark Odom; step-son, Jay Odom; sister, Dorothy Hodges; and brothers, Otis Lancaster and Pink Lancaster.

She is survived by her son, Steve Odom and wife, Patricia, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; step-daughters, Carla Zurovetz and husband, Terry, of Azle, Texas, and Kim Frazier of Durant, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give special acknowledgements to Audrey’s nephew, Bob Lancaster and wife, Jan, of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Angela Strittmatter and husband, Bryan, and their children Garrett and Grace, of Weatherford; grandson, James “Dub” Odom of Oklahoma City; and granddaughter, Kyla Odom of Oklahoma City.

A handwritten note found in her Bible after her passing reads: “I’ll go to a beautiful garden when my life’s work is through. Don’t spend your money on flowers, just a rose will do.”

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday at Emerald Hills Cemetery in Kennedale. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
