Henry Taylor George, 86, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
He was born in Cleburne on Jan. 26, 1926, to William Taylor and Carrie Stanley George. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1956. In 1959, he and Steve Morgan started what is now George, Morgan and Sneed, Certified Public Accountants. He had been active in many local organizations. Henry was married to Betty Faye Gibbs in 1950. She died in 1999. He was married to Edith Painter on March 17, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, Carrie Harding and husband, David, of Brownwood; grandchildren, Andrew Taylor Harding and Emily Elizabeth Harding, of Brownwood; two brothers, Leonard George, of Wickes, Ark., and Ben (Beverly) George, of Cleburne; three sisters, Elizabeth (Dick) Orwig, of Dallas, Mary (Bob) Steed and Alice (Jack) Hunnicutt, both of Cleburne; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grace First Presbyterian Church in Weatherford. A visitation will follow the service.
