Jennie Bettie Snow

— Jennie Bettie Snow, 89, passed away Nov. 9, 2012 in a Weatherford nursing home.

She was born Oct. 2, 1923, in Carrollton, the daughter of John Thomas and Johnnie Kate Sheridan Weeks. She married Earl Snow on May 9, 1947, in Fort Worth. She was a longtime resident of Whitt and a member of the Perrin Church of Christ. She was an avid cook, cooking for schools and nursing homes. She was involved in benevolent work at South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford for 15 years. Before she was married, she worked for Civil Service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Snow; sisters, Opal Murray, Mona Wilmon, Linda Hutton; and brothers, T.J. and Cecil Weeks.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Roy Blakley of Perrin; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Janita Snow of Weatherford; daughter-in-law, Penny Snow of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Perrin Church of Christ with Zip Breazle officiating. Burial will follow in Whitt Cemetery.
