Mark Gladwyn Wright

Mark Gladwyn Wright, age 52, entered into the light, touched the face of God and ran to the arms of his Meemaw Sunday afternoon, March 3, 2013.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas.

Mark attended the Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne with one of his best friends, John Aven. Mark was a medal-winning Special Olympian for years. He was an artist who drew Christmas trees, cats, dogs and race cars. He was an animal lover, skilled ballroom dancer, break dancer, rapper and Michael Jackson moonwalker. He loved country music and singing “Amazing Grace,” “Silent Night” and “The Star Spangled Banner.”

Mark is survived by his Weatherford family: parents, Tommy and Elizabeth Wright; his sister and the love of his life, Jeanne Lindsey; his hero and brother John and sister-in-law, Brenda Wright; nephews, Joshua, Cash, Holden and Landon; nieces, Jaylee, Julia, Desiree and April; his foster companions from Cleburne, Lisa and John Aven, and many, many loving educators, caregivers and nurturers at CLC-COI, all from Cleburne.

His grandparents, Byron and Ethell Susan; brother, Steve Wright; uncle, Henry Susan; and nephew, Chris Huggins, all entered into the light a number of years ago.

Rather than flowers, Mark would love for your gifts in his memory to go to the Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter, 409 Hickory Lane, Weatherford, Texas, 76086.
