WEATHERFORD —
Stella Mae Moyer, 98, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 in a local nursing home. Stella was born Aug. 20th 1914 in Shelby County, Texas to Robert Jeff and Martha Leta Yeary. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She moved to Weatherford when she was only 17 years old. She has been a member of Couts Memorial United Methodist Church since she moved to Weatherford. She was a beautician and owned Stella’s Beauty Shop in Weatherford for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Moyer; son, Jerrell Wayne Moyer and brothers, Starlon Yeary, Cleo Yeary and Dewey Yeary. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Shaw and husband Woody and daughter-in-law, Charleen Moyer, all of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Lisa Hamilton, Joseph Moyer, Julie Brown and husband Steve, and Jason Shaw and wife Nisha; seven great-grandchildren, and various other relatives.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at funeral home one hour prior to service.
