Lily Ann Wilson
Lily Ann Wilson, of Weatherford, passed away early Jan. 26, 2013.
Lily was born Sept. 2, 1931 in Greenville, Texas. She married Leslie J. Canright Jr. on Jan. 7, 1950. Together they raised three children. Lily held a variety of jobs over the years, including the old Tin Top store and house cleaning jobs. She continued to clean houses through her later years because she enjoyed the families she worked for. The work she cherished most was teaching Sunday school, which she did throughout the course of her life. She loved the children as if they were her own.
A large family, who will miss her dearly, survives Lily. They include her sister, Helen Connell; two daughters, Joyce Benthall and husband, Dale, and Dayle Stanley and husband, Rickey; step-children, Jan Wallace and Robert, Mike Wilson and Donna, Christy Durant and family; grandchildren, James Wood, Wendy and Dusty Benthall, Micheal and Eric Stanley, Sean Canright and Sandy, Cassie Canright, Lily Hillman and Nathan, Jack and Jodee Canright; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Leslie J Canright, Jr., preceded her in death. She found new love and was preceded in death by her second and third husbands, Johny Hampton and Horace Wilson. She is also preceded by numerous brothers and sisters, her loving son, Leslie J. Canright III, and parents, Willie and Alpha Talbot.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel, 500 W. Sublett Rd. Kennedale. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
