Donald Edward Lemaster

Donald Edward Lemaster, 75, of Weatherford, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, from complications with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Graveside service is 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.

Don was born Aug. 9, 1937, to Idabelle and Hubert Lemaster, in West Virginia. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in September of 1955. Eventually retiring from the Air Force in 1975, Don fought in the Vietnam War and received numerous accommodation and good conduct awards. He also earned a longevity award while in the service.

Upon retiring from Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Don started his second career as a general contractor. He started LEMA Construction, where he built residential and commercial properties.

After retirement from LEMA Construction, he traveled and lived in various cities before moving to Weatherford in 1999. Don was an active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4746 and Parker County American Legion Post 163.

Don is survived by a son, James Robert Lemaster and wife, Jane, of Weatherford; daughters, Sheril Dona Delanghe and husband, Randall, of Phoenix, Ariz., Martha Richards and husband, Greg, of Hurst, Sybile Lenn Schwarz and husband, Rick, of Jarrell, and Sandra Huber and husband, Frank, of Hurst; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
