Julia Baker

— Julia Baker, 74, of Aledo passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital.

Julia was born Aug. 10, 1938, in Fort Worth to Sena Mae and Marvin Eugene Livesay. Julia was a teacher at Nolan, Eastern Hills and Western Hills schools in Fort Worth for 18 years. She also taught public education in the evenings in Weatherford. She was a partner and CEO of DGB Glass. She enjoyed playing cards with the Keno group and travel with friends.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Daniel Baker; son, Bradley Glenn Baker, of Peaster; daughters, Glenda Rickman and husband, Fred, of Joshua, Joy Stern and husband, Carl, of South Carolina, and Rhonda Thompson and husband, Jim, of Bluefield, W.Va.; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Bledsoe, of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Alex and Deuce Baker, Shawn Brown and Katherine Harmon; two great-grandchildren, Brady Hudson and Nathan Thompson; and four brothers, Eugene Livesay of Fort Worth, Jess Livesay of Arlington, Bill Livesay of Georgia and James Livesay of Arlington.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Aledo Methodist Church. Burial will be in Annetta Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
