Terry D. Morris

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Terry D. Morris, 65, died Monday, March 4, 2013, after an unexpected and brief illness.

Service is 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, in Greenwood Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Terry was born July 30, 1947, in Weatherford. Terry had an intense interest in all matters of technology. In his teen years he was the youngest member of the Weatherford Volunteer Fire Department. During his high school years, he became a very talented photographer, in which field he later worked as a professional. After that, he worked at the railroad for several years, before finding his true love in lasers. He graduated in 1982 from Texas State Technical Institute with a degree in laser electro optics. He started working for Litton Industries in 1983 in their Night Vision Department, and worked in several divisions of the company as it grew and expanded to other technologies. He earned several patents for his designs while working there. He retired in 2006 due to health problems.
Terry was a ham operator, and he was a good man. He touched more lives than he knew, and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; brother, Ted; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Roosevelt Morris and Leslie Morris Spain.
