“Bubba” Carter

PARKER COUNTY — “Bubba” Edward Nelson Carter Jr., 52, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by friends and family.

Bubba was born on Sept. 30, 1960, to Ed and Beverly Carter in Richmond, Va. He was a longtime resident of Weatherford and owner of Carter Plumbing along with his dad, Ed, for 40 years. Bubba was an avid fisherman and member of the original Weatherford Bass Club and enjoyed the outdoors. Bubba’s pride and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bubba was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Beverly Carter; sister, Doreen Armstrong; and brother, Curtis Carter.

He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Suzanne Carter of Weatherford; daughter, Carrie Rucker and husband, Rodney, of Weatherford; sons, Scott Carter and wife, Laci, of Weatherford, Michael Carter of Weatherford, Michael Johnson and wife, Sarah, of Weatherford, Mark Johnson and wife, Sabrina, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jacob Carter of Weatherford, Trey and Jaden Rucker of Weatherford, Michael and Alexis Carter of Cleburne, Carley, Lillie and Dylan Johnson of Weatherford; sisters, Wanda Carter and Dawn Oaks of Weatherford; best friend, Clayton Merritt of Weatherford; and a countless number of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Galbreaith Pickard Chapel.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at Central Community Cemetery, 4260 Old Agnes Road, with Pastors Van Houser and Mike Wiley officiating.
