Elinor Elliott Ray, 79, of Dennis, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Mrs. Ray was born May 20, 1933, in Nashville, Ark., the daughter of the late O.G. and the late Neta Bessie (Dowdy) Powell. Elinor was a member of First Baptist Church, Dennis, and was known as a custom seamstress. She was a retired computer programmer.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sheryl Johnson and Gradie Miller, and brother, Norman Powell.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Bellamy and husband, Joe, of Dennis; sons, David Ray and wife, Sheila, of Waxahachie, Wade Ray and wife, Delanna, of Azle; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren
Funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday, at First Baptist Church, Dennis, with Bro. Danny Shearman officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
