Claudene Busby, 82, died Friday, March 15, 2013, in Weatherford with her family by her side.
Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in White’s Chapel of Memories. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home.
Claudene was born in Jacksboro on May 21, 1930. “Blondie” was a retired waitress from Monevias and Bonnies. She never knew a stranger and never let anyone go hungry or leave without a coat. She will always be remembered as the most loving mother and the very greatest loving “Mimi” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is now with Jesus looking down on her beloved family who she thought of first and foremost. Claudene loved and enjoyed her family so much. She also enjoyed Bingo with her friends to the fullest.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Glenn, of Weatherford; daughters, Sarah Brennand, of Weatherford, Pat Collard and husband, Joe, of Garner, and Jean Colly, of Weatherford; son-in-law, Robert Brennand; brothers, Johnny Dater and Jess Dater, both of Garner; sisters, Dean, of Grand Prairie, Joyce, of Longview, Jane and husband, Buzz, of Houston and Bernice and husband, Jim, of Longview; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Claudene was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Garrett; son, Donald Earl; and brothers-in-law, Carl and Norm.
