Rosa Lea Berry, 87, of Weatherford, died Monday evening, Sept. 3, 2012 in the local hospital.
Born Aug. 18, 1925, in Clinton, Ark., she was a resident of Weatherford for many years. She was a homemaker, an avid sports fan, score keeper for Weatherford Softball League, retired food service director for the Weatherford Independent School District and she taught nutrition classes at Weatherford College.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Fate and Mable Moore; husband Raymond Berry; son, Gary Berry; and two brothers, A. B. Moore and James Moore.
Survivors include daughter, Patty Oglesby and husband, Tim of Springtown; son, Gerald Berry and wife Sharon of Weatherford; seven grandchildren, Richard Berry, Donna Barrow, Paul Berry, Bryan Berry, Scott Marshall, Karri O’Conner, Ryan Oglesby; 20 great-grandchildren and sister, Sue Hurley of Little Rock, Ark.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at the funeral home
