Joan Ellen Milburn

Joan Ellen Milburn, 70, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, surrounded by family in Arlington.

Joan Ellen Milburn was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Weatherford, the daughter of Howard and Helen Boyd Bellenger. Joan graduated from Weatherford High School in 1958, where she started dating Albert Milburn. She married Al in Weatherford Aug. 29, 1958, and they began their life together. They moved to Arlington in 1970, where she made a career with Vandergriff Chevrolet for 26 years in various administrative duties in the sales office.

Joan was preceded in death by a son, Albert O. “Trecy” Milburn in 1988; and her father.

Survivors include her husband, Al Milburn; sons, Scott Milburn and wife, Lisa, and Doug Milburn, all of Arlington; grandchildren, Natalie Joan, Jesse, Tanner and Macy; mother, Helen Bellenger; brother, Dana Bellenger and wife, Wendy, of Grapevine; aunt, Mildred Cotten Chandler; nephew and niece, Zack Bellenger and Rachel Bellenger; and numerous cousins and loving friends.

Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment was in East Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the Milburn family suggests memorials in Joan’s name to the Weatherford High School Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1768, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
