William Lawrence Bush, 96, of Weatherford, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in a local care facility.
Service is 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at Central Baptist Church followed by burial in Central Cemetery. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
William was born July 12, 1916, in Lancaster, Texas to Ira and Robert E. Bush. He was a longtime resident of Weatherford.
Mr. Bush was a retired machinist for LTV, a farmer, a metal worker and talented metal artist. He was a member and deacon at Central Baptist Church. William volunteered for the Central Fire Department and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Julia; sons, Larry Bush and wife, Lee, and Gary Bush, all of Weatherford, and Gregg Bush and wife, Patricia, of Aledo; sister, Marguerite McLaughlin, of Sedona, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack; and a sister, Jean.
