G.C. “Gwen” Jones, 76, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in Weatherford.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, in Post Oak Cemetery in Glen Rose. Mr. Jones will lie in state from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home. He is now in Heaven.
G.C. was one of eight children born April 18, 1936, in Magnolia, Ark., to Enoch Earl and Lillian Eunice Dingler Jones. He married Rose Mary Harkins on Feb. 19, 1955, in Weatherford. He worked in construction and was a member of Rock of Help Church in Weatherford. He loved to travel with his wife and son.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Jones; son, Wesley Jones; brothers, Michael Jones and Tom Jones; sisters, Billie Kirkpatrick and Patricia Godwin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
Memorials may go to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.
