Gayle Waltman

Gayle Waltman, of Plano, Texas, passed away Sept. 7, 2008, at the age of 51.

Gayle never met a stranger and was loved by all. Her love for her children was exemplified through her dedication and involvement in their lives from their early years to adulthood. She was an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church, and her life was a living testimony to her commitment and love for the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Majorie Statter.

She is survived by her two children, Melanie and Christopher; and their father, Gerald Waltman; her father, Elmer Statter; her two sisters, Joyce Stevens and Laura Hinson; and her fiance, Dan Lance.

Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Restland Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the funeral home.

Gayle was an active board member for Sam’s Day, benefiting the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to this cause, which can be made at www.parentprojectmd.org/goto/samsday2008.
