— No small number of abortions
Dear Editor,
There are in the United States, per the Centers for Disease Control, approximately 600,000 spontaneous abortions per annum. There are in the United States, again per the Centers for Disease Control, approximately 1.2 million “medically induced” abortions per annum. No rational or sane person would consider this “a small number.”
Mr. Mason (Letters to the Editor, Feb. 12) presents a false characterization of abortion as truth and potentially exposes himself to a charge of hypocrisy.
