WEATHERFORD — Friendship Baptist Church is excited to announce to the community and surrounding area it has called Bro. Todd Houston as its pastor. His duties will commence Oct. 25, and we would like to invite everyone to come and be a part of his first Sunday in the pulpit.
His family consists of his wife, Alisha, and children, Abigail, age 9, and Aaron, age 7.

Prior to that he served various SBC churches in Tennessee for approximately seven years, which is where he and Alisha grew up.
God has blessed and honored his preaching by providing growth to the churches he has served, either through people receiving God’s gift of salvation or believers joining the local church.

‘The Help’
William Barclay tells the story of a servant who was sent to meet a train on which his master’s friend, an English nobleman, was supposed to arrive. The servant, who had never met the man, asked his master, “How will I recognize him?” To which his master replied, “He will be a tall man helping somebody.” What a description!
I thought of that story after seeing the excellent film version of Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling novel, The Help. -
