WEATHERFORD — Passion 22:6 Ministries Inc. presents Venue 2:17, a Teen Ministry which opened its doors Nov. 6.
Venue 2:17, located at 120 Cartwright Park Road, Suite 103 in Weatherford, is a teen’s dream hang-out.
Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 11 p.m., youth can play ping pong, pool, air hockey, foosball and even PlayStation on a huge eight-foot projection screen. In addition, there will be live Christian rock bands and concessions.
After eight years of dreaming on behalf of youth, Brenda Stewart’s vision for Venue 2:17 has finally become a reality. Her mission is to reach a generation before we have to save it. One way she helps to do that is by providing a safe place with positive influences for teens to spend their Friday and Saturday nights.
The activities at the venue will be free for youth because it will operate on donations and sponsorships from local businesses and families that are committed to changing the lives of Parker County youth. Many have already donated materials and equipment and pledged monthly sponsorships. There will also be concessions available such as hot dogs, nachos, candy and sodas for a minimal fee.
