Roo Annual Football Skills Camp to commence Monday

Staff Report

For years, WISD has offered a Football Skills Camp to youth in the Weatherford area. This year’s camp for First through Sixth Graders will be held Monday through Wednesday, July 30-August 1, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Weatherford High School Outback.

The following week a camp will be offered for those entering grades 7 and 8 this fall. They will meet August 6-8, also from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Outback. The camps will be led by WHS head coach Reid Waller and the WHS coaching staff. Cost for each camp is $65 per camper and pre-registration is urged, through the WISD Community Education Office located at 900 N. Elm Street, or by calling 817-598-2806.

The WISD Community Ed Department offers a spring basketball league to area boys and girls. The offering is a developmental league to better prepare players for future school sports. The Spring Season came to a close recently, with a tournament held at Hall Middle School.
