Tison Middle School track team dominates

The seventh grade girls from Tison Middle School had a very successful spring track season in 2006.

The 1600m Relay team consisting of Tabbi and Ann Danylchuk, Isle Medina and Megan McLemore went undefeated placing first in all six track meets. The meets were held in Granbury, Weatherford and Stephenville. The girls broke the school record with a winning time of 4:32.

The 800m Relay team consisting of Medina, Chrarlsi Rowell, Taylor Evans and alternate Spencer Smith also won many awards, placing in all six meets. They earned three first place medals one second place medal and two fourth place ribbons. The team placed fourth in the district meet in Stephenville. They ran the 800m Relay in 1:58.57.

McLemore, Medina and Rowell also placed in the 400m Dash. McLemore went undefeated, wining first place in the 400m Dash in five meets. She shattered the TMS record of 1:08, which was held by Meghan Peoples, with a time of 1:04. McLemore also took first place in the other meet competing in the 200m Dash. She finished with a time of 28:44.

Medina won first place in the 400m Dash at the Tison vs. Hall meet. In other meets, Medina won two second place medals, one third place medal, one fourth place medal and one sixth place medal. Her personal best time in the 400m Dash was 1:07.

Rowell placed fourth in the 400m Dash at the first meet in Stephenville with a personal best time of 1:09.

McLemore and Medina placed first and second respectively at the district meet in Stephenville.

Alexxa Shelton represented Tison in the field events. Shelton won second place in the Shot put at the district meet in Stephenville. She won first place in Shot put at the Tison vs. Hall meet and she won second place in Discus at the Hall meet.

Smith ran in the 100m Dash, taking home awards for third, fifth and sixth place. Smith also placed in the 200m Dash, winning third, fourth and sixth place.

Evens ran the 300m Hurdles, taking home a sixth place ribbon.

Brittany Couch ran in the 1600m Run and the 2400m Run. In the 2400m Run, Couch won two first place medals, one second place, one third place, one fourth place and one sixth place. Her personal best time for the 2400m Run was 10:12. In the 1600m Run, Couch won one third place and one fourth place. Her best time for the 1600m Run was 6:29.
