Roos’ Football Banquet to be held Saturday
Staff Report
Weatherford High School’s annual football banquet will take place Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Fort Worth Hilton Hotel, located at 815 Main Street in Fort Worth. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
The freshman football team will join the guest list, with varsity and junior varsity players for this year’s banquet. A large number of attendees is expected, as last year’s event netted a crowd of 430. All players will be expected to wear slacks and a tie to the banquet.
Tickets for the banquet can be purchased at the WHS cafeteria and the Ninth Grade Center cafeteria during all lunch periods, or from Cathy Martinez at the Outback. Varsity, JV and freshman meals are paid for by the football Booster Club.
The banquet events will include dinner and a high-light video, as well as introductions of team members. A special awards presentation will take place and certificates of participation for players will be presented. Senior class members will be honored for their accomplishments and contributions to the Kangaroos football program.
