Staff Report
Beginning respective postseasons with a total of 10 playoff teams, Parker County still has a half-dozen in the basketball mix, as the boys get ready to enter bracket play.
Poolville draws a bye in Class 1A, with Brock and Peaster (2A) and Springtown (3A) playing bi-district contests on Monday and Tuesday.
The Aledo girls will try to complete the hat trick over Granbury, with the district-mates meeting in a Class 4A, Region I quarterfinal on Monday. The Ladycats have breezed through their first two playoff encounters, and even though they sit at 2-0 vs. the Lady Pirates on the year, both matches were close enough to go either way.
After sitting out the bi-district round, Brock’s girls also won easily in their Class 2A, Region II area-round match last week, giving Sunnyvale a 63-28 spanking. But the competition gets tougher in a hurry, as the Lady Eagles take the court against Howe on Tuesday.
