Lady Coyotes extend streak to seven, clinch tourney spot
Staff Report
Since losing consecutive NTJCAC conference games in January, the Weatherford College Lady Coyotes left the month with a victory and are perfect for February. WC has run the win streak to seven, culminating with a convincing 104-81 romp at Cisco. The game marks Weatherford's highest point total of the season, and also assures Weatherford a reservation at the NJCAA Region V tourney.
At 9-2, the win throws the Lady Coyotes in a 3-way tie for first place, sharing the top spot with Cisco and Hill College, who the Weatherford women beat last week.
WC returns to home court on Wednesday for their final appearance at the Graber Athletic Center. The Lady Coyotes will face Collin, who at 5-6, is in a struggle to make the fourth spot in the standings.
