The Brock Eagles head into yet another postseason with its six-pack of seniors leading the way. The BHS boys will be taking on the Tolar Rattlers in a Class 2A, Bi-district match at Lipan High School on Monday, with a 7 p.m. start. On a night featuring seniors and a barn-burner district match between the Greyhounds and Ponder, the whole night was a crowd pleaser. Four Peaster players were honored (left to right), Tyler Ochs, Josh Petermeier, Trace Gustafson and Josiah Bingman, along with senior managers Jessica Davis and Emily Bowling. Poolville’s pair of senior players helped lead the Monarchs to an undefeated District 11-1A, Division I slate, culminating with a dramatic, come-from-behind win over the Collinsville Pirates on Tuesday, 51-50, using stout defense and clutch shooting down the stretch to preserve its unblemished district mark. Finishing its regular season with a 30-6 record, Poolville has had 30-win seasons three of the past four years. The state coaches’ poll currently ranks the Monarchs in the top ten in Class 1A, Div. Brock girls bounce back to take regional semifinal series
Faced with a 1-0 deficit in the game count of a Class 2A Region II best-of-three series with Mt. Vernon after Thursday's 7-2 loss, Brock Lady Eagles softball rebounded with a vengeance on Saturday in Game 2.

Coyotes’ stellar season ends at NJCAA tourney
After bouncing back from a loss on Thursday to assure another day of life in bracket play, Friday and Lake Land College, provided the Weatherford College softball team with a tough row to hoe — a bit too tough. The Lakers bats came out blazing, as they put up four runs in the first two innings.

Offense shines in Blue-White tilt
Weatherford football fans showed up to sample the new fare being served up by head coach Weldon Nelms and his coaching staff on Thursday, after the coaches have spent the past few weeks adding new ingredients to the Roo offensive and defensive schemes during spring drills. The practices culminated with the annual Blue-White Spring Game.

Aledo Ladycats move to Region I final with sweep past EP Chapin
In Game 2 of a Class 4A, Region I semifinal softball match in Odessa on Saturday, the Aledo Ladycats eliminated El Paso Chapin with a 12-6 win. The Ladycats bats heated up early in the match, scoring a pair of runs in the first frame and following up with another three in the seond.

It was a dominant debut for WC on Wednesday. In their first-ever national tournament game, the Coyotes beat Walters State (Tenn.), 8-0, at the Canyons Complex in St. George, Utah.
