WEATHERFORD —
The 10-year-old Texas Regulators, based in Weatherford, recently competed in the Triple Crown State Championship held in Coppell's Wagon Wheel Baseball Complex. The Regulators made a strong run behind a balanced attack of solid pitching, defense and hot bats to make the finals, losing out to the D-Bat Mustangs and taking second place in the tournament. Next up for the Regulators is an extended trip to Gulf Shores, Ala., where they will be competing against some of the best teams in the nation as part of the USSSA Global World Series, held during the week of the Fourth of July.
