Area volleyball standings - Oct. 19, 2012

WEATHERFORD —

With just one more win, Aledo, Springtown and Brock varsity volleyball will own outright titles in their districts. All three have the opportunity to make this happen on Friday, facing Western Hills, Castleberry and Ponder, respectively. If all three teams win out, all three will have also gone undefeated in their district campaigns.

The Lady Roos are statistically out of the playoff mix, but have provided the Weatherford faithful with some well-contested matches in a tough district under the guidance of first-year coach Natalie Wayman. The WHS volleyball seniors will be honored before the match with Paschal on Friday.

District play wraps up next Tuesday, with the bi-district rounds beginning the following week. Springtown and Brock will enjoy first-round byes before joining the brackets in the beginning of November.
