WC women swamp Ranger; Collin showdown Saturday

Thanks to some help from McLennan College, who beat Collin’s Lady Cougars a week ago, WC’s Lady Coyotes (11-1) can win the NTJCAC title outright on Saturday with a win over Collin (10-2), who handed WC its only loss in conference play last month.

Weatherford will host the Lady Cougs at the Crumm-Graber Athletic Center, with a 2 p.m. start time. The WC women close out their conference schedule at home on Wednesday, hosting Temple at 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Coyotes set up the confrontation with a 103-56 spree over Ranger on Wednesday.

MLB squads draft four Coyotes, two Weatherford College exes
Like many talented players, Hunter Lockwood opted to play junior college baseball in hopes of being taken in the Major League Baseball draft. He transferred to Weatherford College after one season at the University of Oklahoma, where he tied for second in the Big 12 with 11 home runs, and was named to the All-Freshman Team.
