Picture day at Aledo means the Bearcats are just two weeks away from their season opener. The varsity, JV and freshman teams gathered at Bearcat Stadium Thursday for their annual media day. Weatherford will hold its media day on Saturday. There will be an intra-squad scrimmage at 9 a.m., with the media session beginning at 11 a.m. A kick-off luncheon will follow and a parent meeting, at 12:45 p.m., will cap off the busy day at Kangaroo Stadium
WISD-CommEd announces more Spring League winners
The WISD Community Education Volleyball League recently concluded its spring session. The league had record numbers in participation, with more teams joining the volleyball preparatory league from surrounding areas.

Aledo fills All-District baseball roster
The formidable representation by the Aledo contingent on the District 7-4A All-District baseball squad is marked by more than sheer numbers. Of the 13 players named to the roster, all but three are underclassmen, boding well for the district champs to remain at the top of the heap for years to come.
