More than 100 golfers enjoyed beautiful weather and scenery while contributing to a good cause at the 12th annual Weatherford College Foundation Golf Tournament Oct. 18 at SugarTree Golf Club.
College officials said the event will net between $25,000 and $30,000 for WC’s “The Time is Now for Your College” campaign, benefitting scholarships, renovations and other WC projects.
The team of Dr. Trev Dixon, Tommy Hernandez, Andrew Hopson and Jeff Lightfoot won the tournament by shooting an 18-under 52 in the scramble.
“We can’t thank our sponsors and participants enough,” said Brent Baker, WC’s vice president of institutional advancement. “We had a great turnout, and the community really backed this event. Thanks again to everyone involved.”
