Young gridders attend Roo FB camp

WEATHERFORD —

More than 50 campers, ranging from first grade through sixth grade took advantage of a healthy contingent of instructors at the WISD Roos Football Skills Camp, which ran from Monday through Wednesday, this week. Learning the basics of a variety of football skills, the kids were put through their paces by Weatherford head football coach Reid Waller and his staff, including coaches from WISD middle schools and high school coaches. The older kids will get into the mix next week, as the Monday through Wednesday camp (July 30, 31 & Aug. 1) for grades seven, eight and nine will commence. There is still time to register for next week by calling the WISD CommEd office at 817-598-2806. Cost for the camp is $65 and the sessions are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening of the camp.

WISD-CommEd announces more Spring League winners
