Swimcats compete in Cougar Classic

ALEDO —  

 

The Aledo Swimcats competed against 31 teams at the annual Cougar Classic hosted by The Colony High School at the Lewisville ISD Aquatic Center, recently.  There were more than 600 swimmers entered in the meet. Aledo’s girls finished 19th, the boys finished 8th, while the combined team finished 12th.

A standout performance was produced by senior Connor Kennemer who finished first in the 50 Free, with a time of 22.62, and also took first in the 200 Free with a time of 1:54.50, setting his third Aledo High School record.

 

Team and individual event results:

 

Girls 200 Medley Relay A Team:  22nd place out of 37 teams with a time of 2:26.95 was the team of

Nina Hulce, Madelyn Franklin, Kaitlyn Henrietta, and Lauren Bach.

 

Boys 200 Medley Relay A Team:  12th place out of 38 teams with a time of 2:00.70 was the team of

Jacob Babcock, Connor Kennemer, T.J. Steffen, and Brandon Smith.

 

Boys 200 Medley Relay B Team:  29th place with a time of 2:23.80 was the team of Joel Bogdanoff, Riley Sinnot, Gabe Lleverino, and Richey Fetzek.

 

Girls 200 Freestyle: 33rd place out of 52 swimmers with a time of 2:48.91 was Makenzie Russell.

 

Boys 200 Freestyle: 1st place out of 63 swimmers with a New Aledo HS Record time of 1:54.50 was Connor Kennemer. 22nd place with a time of 2:19.39 was Lucas Wilkinson. 31st place with a time of 2:30.00 was Jacob Babcock.

 

Girls 200 IM: 20th place out 41 swimmers with a time of 2:49.96 was Nina Hulce.

 

Girls 50 Freestyle: 27th place out of 119 swimmers with a time of 30.18 was Madelyn Franklin.

44th place with a time of 32.53 was Alyssa Martinez. 49th place with a time of 33.08 was Lauren Bach.

 

Boys 50 Freestyle: 1st place out of 104 swimmers with a time of 22.62 was Connor Kennemer.

16th place with a time of 25.98 was Joel Bogdanoff.

 

Boys 100 Fly: 26th place out of 34 swimmers with a time of 1:12.35 was Lucas Wilkinson.

 

Girls 100 Freestyle: 32nd place out of 117 swimmers with a time of 1:08.12 was Kaitlyn Henrietta.

51st place with a time of 1:12.54 was Alyssa Martinez. 67th place with a time of 1:17.17 was Makenzie Russell.

 

Boys 100 Freestyle: 29th place out of 104 swimmers with a time of 1:01.48 was T.J. Steffen.

36th place with a time of 1:03.96 was Brandon Smith. 82nd place with a time of 1:19.29 was Richey Fetzek.

 

Boys 500 Freestyle: 13th place out of 22 swimmers with a time of 6:59.21 was Joel Bogdanoff.

 

Boys 200 Freestyle Relay A Team:  11th place out of 37 teams with a time of 1:47.80 was the team of Brandon Smith, Riley Sinnot, Lucas Wilkinson, and Connor Kennemer.

 

Girls 100 Backstroke: 26th place out of 72 swimmers with a time of 1:18.54 was Lauren Bach.

 

Boys 100 Backstroke: 23rd place out of 60 swimmers with a time of 1:12.04 was T.J. Steffen.

37th place with a time of 1:20.98 was Gabe Lleverino.

 

Girls 400 Freestyle Relay A-Team: 9th place out of 26 teams with a time of 4:36.67 was the team of

Kaitlyn Henrietta, Madelyn Franklin, Lauren Bach, and Nina Hulce.

 

Boys 400 Freestyle Relay A-Team: 8th place out of 24 teams with a time of 4:15.17 was the team of

T.J. Steffen, Gabe Llevernio, Joel Bogdanoff, and Lucas Wilkinson.
