CommEd Volleyball League — End of season tourney

WEATHERFORD —

The Weatherford ISD Community Ed Girls Volleyball Tournament brought a finale the fall season, recently. The tourney was held at Hall and Tison Middle Schools in an all-day event. Nearly 400 girls participated in the tournament, awarding each player with a participation medal, or a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-place medallion in each grade division.

A winter league is planned for January 26 through March 2 for girls in grades 2-8. Registration will begin Dec. 1 through the Community Ed Office, located at 900 N. Elm Street or on the website at http://comed.weatherfordisd.com. A spring league is also set for April 13 through May 18. Fliers will be distributed at local schools in early December. The new Community Ed Winter/Spring Catalog will be mailed to every home in Weatherford in early January. For more information call the Community Ed Office at 817-598-2806.

WISD CommEd Boys basketball — Spring League 5th-6th-grade winners announced
The WISD Community Ed Department offers a spring basketball league to area boys and girls. The offering is a developmental league to better prepare players for future school sports. The Spring Season came to a close recently, with a tournament held at Hall Middle School.
